Kofenya is Such a Witty Name

~~~~ Hungry
Sitting at Koffenya right now. Just finished my homework and now I'm waiting for the Veggie Panini that I ordered to come. Oh, I so very hungry. This weekend was crazy fun. Tom came on Friday and he let me drive his car to Indiana randomly. Lindsay went the farthest west she's ever gone and I drove across a state line for the first time... oh, my food came! Then we went to a nearby Panera Bread for dinner. P.S. I LOVE Panera Bread. We also got Lindsay an aqua frog while we were out... his name is Oscar. After we went back to the dorm for a while Tom and I went to Coldstone because I think I got him hooked and then back to the dorm for more chill time. I didn't sleep well that night... no, not for the reason you're thinking :rolleyes: it was just an uncomfortable night.
The next day we went to Bell Tower for breakfast then AutoZone to get him some new windshield wipers. That took entirely too long but that's okay. I got to sit in the car and watch all the townies come through. Interesting :| Tom left shortly after that. I'm sad he's gone. We always have such a good time when he comes down to visit.
The rest of Saturday was CrAzY!!! :@ After a nap Lindsay and I met Laura at Quzinos for dinner and then we went bowling... yeah, my high score was an 81... that's all I'll say. Lindsay did award me most improved however. Then we went to Wal-Mart for general chaos and mayhem. I bought Disney Scene It so I'm exempt from paying gas money for a while *cheers* Laura won one game and I won the other!!!
Today Laura, Lindsay, and Megan went to Sonic. Cheese Fries? Good! Strawberry Cream Pie Shake? GOOOOOOOOOOOD! Sonic is my new favorite fast food resturant. Steffie got back from Bowling Green after that and we were gonna go to Koffenya for homework time but it was full so we ended up at Bell Tower until it closed and now we're at Koffenya. Veggie Paninis are quite possibly the best food in the world. Actually, today's been an entire day of exceedingly good food. Exceedingly high caloric, but still good. I think reading that Paleolithic Prescription book has ruioned me forever because I keep analyzing everything I eat and thinking 'hunters and gatherers would not eat this' :p but I'm crazy and that's just how I roll.
The Weekends
~~~~ Mellow

All of a sudden this year seems doable. This weekend Tom's coming and after he leaves on Saturday, Laura, Lindsay, and I are going bowling. Then Sunday we're going to find a Sonic. You know, like Harold and Kumar go to White Castle? Well, Laura, Lindsay, and Megan go to Sonic! So now that I started thinking about it I realized that if I have things to look forward to every weekend the weekdays will pass by much faster. So, here's the schedule... Next weekend Felicia is on the Relay for Life Team so I get the room to myself... party in my room. The 8th and the 9th Steph's brother might come down and I'm sure we'll go out. If not maybe we'll take a Target trip. Now that we have cars the sky's the limit. The 14th and the 15th my parents are coming down to help me pack up some of my stuff. And while that really isn't on the weekend it's still something to look forward to and I think it'll occupy us. The next weekend I might go home if I have to interview for any jobs. Right now I haven't gotten any calls and I'm beginning to despair. The only thing I can think of is on most of the applications they asked me when I could start working and I put down May, after I get home. So maybe they're waiting for that date to call. I really have no idea how this whole job thing works. Yeah, obviously I'm spoiled and never really had to do this before. All my past jobs I've gotten from people I know... not just walked into a store and asked for an application. Then of course the weekend after that is the weekend before finals. The last weekend as a college freshman. The weekend before I leave this place for three months. Geeze. That's crazy!

Oh yeah, don't leave me alone for too long. It gets to me.

Why was it warmer here over winter break than it is now for spring break. Seriously Ohio, figure yourself out.

It's Life I Never Left

~~~~ Happy
I'm back home again for spring break. With the exception of Tom no one's home so I think I'll have a lot of time to myself. Really I don't mind too much. I've really been looking forward to this. The car trip up here was fine. Daddy took me and Steph and we got to Wooster without any mishaps. Unfortunatley, Daddy mentioned our baseball tickets had come and they had a Florida stadium printed as the location. We looked, and even though the schedule says the game is @ Cincinnati, they mean Cincinnati's spring training stadium in Florida. It makes me sad. :( Those tickets are useless now. Piss.
Today I haven't done much. I woke up at 10:30 and helped Daddy around the house. Then Mom and I went to Staples, the outlet mall, and CVS. I got a new umbrella and renewed my prescription. For dinner Daddy made pizza and then we watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. *Gasp* I spent a day with the parentals and I actually enjoyed it. Tomorrow the Beckers are coming over and we're having a lasagna party. Grandma isn't home yet so itll just be us. I think Tom and I will probably do something later that night too. Monday I have a hairscut, a dermatologist appointment, and I hope to make my summer job phone calls. Tuesday I need to go get those job applications and get some groceries at Buehlers. Wednesday I'm either spending the day with Mom or meeting Lindsay at South Park for Panera Bread and fixing her laptop. I have no idea what I'll be doing the other four days of break but I think that's for the best. :rolleyes: Oh, I'm watching Mary Poppins right now and she's singing "Feed the Birds" :confused: I love this song.
Early each day to the steps of Saint Paul's
The little old bird woman comes.
In her own special way to the people she calls,
"Come, buy my bags full of crumbs.
Come feed the little birds, show them you care
And you'll be glad if you do.
Their young ones are hungry,
Their nests are so bare;
All it takes is tuppence from you."
Feed the birds, tuppence a bag,
Tuppence, tuppence, tuppence a bag.
"Feed the birds," that's what she cries,
While overhead, her birds fill the skies.
All around the cathedral the saints and apostles
Look down as she sells her wares.
Although you can't see it, you know they are smiling
Each time someone shows that he cares.
Though her words are simple and few,
Listen, listen, she's calling to you:
"Feed the birds, tuppence a bag,
Tuppence, tuppence, tuppence a bag."
The Spring Break Thing
~~~~ Busy

What a day. Actually, it really wasn't that bad but I just feel as if it was since I get to go home in 3 days. 3 days. Wow. I mean, I know I've been here for ages and ages (and believe me, it's felt like ages and ages) but at the same time it hasn't felt like ages and ages. I feel as if I've just been home. I have a very warped sense of time and it's really come out here at school.

Finally got my Botany debate articles read. Seriously, I think drilling in ANWR is the worst idea in the world. How am I suppose to argue for it? I thought this debate thing would be a breeze after my experience but all the arguments I've read are complete and utter bullshit. I'm gonna feel like such an ass getting up there to say the things I have to say. Hopefully I won't have to say much and I'll let the rest of my group do the talking. We're meeting at King tomorrow to organize our thoughts. Also known as I'll tell them what I've read and then I'll write the intro and everyone else will sit around and look supportive. Honestly, the IQ of that class is less than a wet noodle.

I have 11 assignments I need to get done before break. Once more, there's not a snow ball's chance in hell I'm doing homework while I'm at home. Seriously, don't count on it! If I can get 6 things done tomorrow and 5 on Thursday I should be good to go. Probably not practical but I'm sure as hell gonna try. Oh I hope so.

My shirt is washed and I'm ready. My Botany professor told us today that if anyone comes to class drunk he has to call the police. So much for the studying drunk + test taking drunk = good scores. Well, at least I know I have nothing to worry about :)

So far the places I'm interested in working at over summer are:
Green Leaf
Wooster Book Co.
Wild Ginger
Bath & Body Works
Long Horn
Muddy Waters*
News and Brews*

*If I Must

That seems like a pretty good list, right? Note how the Wooster Brush Company is NOT on that list.

Point made.

Henry in the Wood of Westmoreland

~~~~ Zen
Enter the wood of many trees experience the silence of their speech. They hurt from carvings etched into their bodies, from lovers' names cut into their skin. A.S. & T.L. forever '74. Have those lovers remained true, forever? The trees will tell otherwise. 'Gainst him whose wrongs give edge unto the swords. That makes such waste in brief mortallity look! The old marking have become deformed and stretched as the tree has begun to repair its damaged past a demonstraition of the ineptitude in our attempts at permanence.
Oh No...
